Pakistan's Federal Minister Mr. Qaiser Sheikh will provide a behind-the-scenes briefing on his work supporting the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshall Asim Munir who are moderating the negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Lord Macdonald will examine the profound implications of a potential shift in US foreign policy for European security. He will assess the existential challenge to the post-war transatlantic order and analyse the pressing need for European strategic autonomy in defence, energy, and diplomacy.

Speaker Biographies:
Rt Hon. Lord McDonald of Salford GCMG KCVO has had a distinguished diplomatic career, with postings in Jeddah, Riyadh, Bonn, and Washington. He later served as Ambassador to Israel and then to Germany, before being appointed head of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as its Permanent Under-Secretary. Upon retirement from diplomatic service, he became Master of Christ’s College, Cambridge.
