Join us on 1 July 2026 at The Travellers Club, where the Kuwait Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Bader A. Almuanyekh, and the Rt. Hon. Lord Ricketts GCMG GCVO, former British Ambasssador to France, will discuss the future of European security. They will offer a unique perspective on the interconnection between European defence and the political landscape in the Middle East.
The discussion will be moderated by the Rt. Hon. Sir Malcolm Rifkind KCMG KC, former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and former Defence Secretary, and hosted by Lady Olga Maitland, Founder and President, Defence and Security Forum.

Biographies
Lord Ricketts GCMG GCVO spent 40 years as a British diplomat before retiring in early 2016. His last post was Ambassador to France, where he was heavily involved with UK-French defence cooperation following from the 2010 Lancaster House Treaties.
