About the event
Join us as we bring together distinguished speakers to debate, analyse and de-code the most pressing geopolitical issues of our time. The evening will include a reception and three-course dinner in the intimate surroundings of the Travellers Club.
Keynote Speaker: Sir Laurie Bristow, KCMG, former UK Ambassador to Moscow (2016–2020). During his tenure, he navigated the gravest tensions of the post-Cold War era, including the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and fraught discussions on deterrence. Sir Laurie was also Ambassador to Afghanistan from June – November 2021 during the fall of Kabul. Prior to this, Sir Laurie Bristow was the COP26 Regional Ambassador to the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia. From 2012 to 2015, he was head of National Security at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Today, Sir Laurie is President of Hughes Hall, Cambridge.
