About the event
Join us as we bring together distinguished speakers to debate, analyse and de-code the most pressing geopolitical issues of our time. The evening will include a reception and three-course dinner in the intimate surroundings of the Travellers Club.
Keynote Speaker: Sir Laurie Bristow, KCMG, former UK Ambassador to Moscow (2016–2020). During his tenure, he navigated the gravest tensions of the post-Cold War era, including the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and fraught discussions on deterrence. Today, Sir Laurie is President of Hughes Hall, Cambridge.
Response: Professor Mark Galeotti, columnist at the Sunday Times and leading authority on Russian security and geopolitics. A prolific author and Honorary Professor at UCL's School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies, Professor Galeotti is one of 29 UK nationals sanctioned by Russia for his incisive analysis and publications.
